The 500. Everything a college-bound student should actually be doing.
A month-by-month checklist for the entire high school career, plus a two-year transfer track, built the way admissions committees read a file: by trend, by rigor, and by what was done on time.
An unchecked box means the task still needs to be done.
This tool has one job: identify what the student needs to do, then turn it into a report. Work through the months below and check off only what the student has already completed — everything left unchecked is the assignment, the action plan, the work ahead.
When the selections are made, use “Print family report” in the top bar to generate the student's report.
Priority
- Critical — skipping it changes outcomes or closes a door.
- Important — strengthens the file meaningfully.
- Recommended — worth doing when there is room.
Ownership
- Student — the student does it, not the parent.
- Parent — financial, logistical, or contractual.
- Joint — a decision made together.

Knowing the 500 is not the hard part. Doing them on schedule is.
Most families can name half of this list. What they cannot do is hold four years of deadlines while working full time, and no one gets a second attempt at junior year. That is the work we do.
